Internally at TAH Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 is used as our primary collaboration tool, in fact this site has been brought to you using this technology.
By developing our internal and external collaboration solutions using SharePoint we achieve a number of benefits:
Single System – we now have a single system which provides our internal intranet, our external Internet web site and our secure customer and partner web sites. All this allows for easier deployment, maintenance and support of our public systems.
Business Data Integration – using SharePoint allows straight forward information integration both to and from our Microsoft CRM system utilised within our Support, Sales and Marketing areas.
Centralised Collaboration – all our information, (shared calendars, market surveys, documents etc.) is stored centrally in a location where it can be shared and collaborated on by all our staff.
Whilst we are not perfect (and neither is SharePoint) we do, at least, try to practice what we preach.
