Microsoft BI

At TAH much of our operational reporting has been built and deployed using Microsoft SharePoint Server and various components of the SQL Server product set.

In addition to this TAH have invested in the production of a proof of concept and demonstration system based solely on the following Microsoft’s Business Intelligence products:

SharePoint Server is used to deploy and surface dashboards, scorecards and reports.

PerformancePoint (in its original Server product form) has been used to develop the scorecards and dashboards based on data from an Analysis Services cube.

SQL Server Reporting Services has been used to develop business reports, sourcing data both from the Analysis Services cube and the underlying Data Warehouse

SQL Server Analysis Services has been used to deliver a performant aggregated data store supporting slicing and dicing.

SQL Server Integration Services is used to acquire the source data and to build both the Data Warehouse and the associated Analysis Services cube.

  SQL Server Database Engine is used to host much of the source data and the resulting Data Warehouse.

All providing a comprehensive, end-to-end Microsoft BI demonstration environment.
