Business Intelligence Round Table A journey towards intelligent business
Business driven 'time to value' 18th March 2010 |
 |
Challenge the conventional norm of starting a BI project with detailed user requirements before progressing towards a design and build phase. Our research and experience suggests that there is a more pragmatic approach which starts with a short 'Landscape' exercise to set the direction, appetite and objectives for the business, followed by subsequent data-driven iterations to analyse, build and refine.
Moving forward with our quarterly BI Round Tables, we would like to invite you to the sixth in this series of events where we will aim to share this approach with you and show you how being able to to see and access your own data early on can demonstrate progress in your BI initiative in a much more significant and relevant way than any user requirement document could.
Why you should attend:
- - Better business user buy-in and engagement.
- Overcome the inability of the business to specify what it needs.
- Shorten time to value to a few weeks instead of months to 'keep the fires burning'
- Issues relating to the underlying data, either from process, data quality or accuracy arise earlier in the project and are managed as part of the overall deliverable.
- Senior management sponsorship and funding is more secure.
